About The Event
GNE’S APEX 2026 is a prestigious inter-school multi-event competition designed to bring together talented school students from across the region for a day of learning, creativity, innovation, and healthy competition. Inspired by the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which encourages collaboration among educational institutions, the event extends GNDEC’s commitment to academic excellence beyond the classroom.

Pencil Shaders
- It is an individual competition.
- Only 1 participant is allowed per institution.
- It is a pencil drawing & shading competition.
- Topics will be given on the spot.
- Time Limit: 60 minutes.
- Size: A4 ivory sheet (will be provided).
- Participants must bring their own set of pencils.
Rangoli Marvels
- It is an individual competition.
- Only 1 participant is allowed per institution.
- Participants have to make rangoli on themes: STEM, Punjabi Virsa, Incredible India, Yoga & Meditation, Digital India.
- Participants have to bring their own material.
- Time Limit: 120 minutes.
- 2 Feet by 2 Feet space will be provided.
Prompt Engineering
- It is an individual competition.
- Only 1 participant is allowed per institution.
- Participants will be given multiple prompts on the spot to generate appropriate responses using ChatGPT.
- Participants must bring their own devices (mobile phones/tabs/laptops) and internet connection.
Digital Identity
- It is an individual logo designing competition.
- Only 1 participant is allowed per institution.
- Topic/Theme will be given on the spot. Time Limit: 60 minutes.
- Permitted Tools: Google Slides, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, MS-Office, Paint.
- Internet access will be allowed only for using Canva and Google Slides.
- Size: 800 x 800 pixels.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops.
Reel Artistry
- It is an individual competition.
- Only 1 participant is allowed per institution.
- Participants have to make a reel (not exceeding 1 minute) of the competitions going on in the college and Apex Fair.
- Voiceovers must be in English only.
- Participants must bring their own devices/cameras.
Sufi Singing
- It is a solo sufi singing competition.
- Only 1 student is allowed per institution.
- Time Limit: 3 to 5 minutes (Negative marking for exceeding time limit).
- Participants must bring their own instrument or instrumental music (in a pen drive).
- Maximum 3 instrumentalists can join the participant. Electronic instruments are not allowed.
The Logic Challenge
- It is an individual competition.
- Only 1 participant is allowed per institution.
- Structure: 1 written round comprising 50 MCQ type questions.
- Syllabus: Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General English.
- Time Limit: 60 minutes.
- Scores: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect, 0 for un-attempted.
Web Wizards
- A team must comprise 2 participants.
- Only 1 team is allowed per institution.
- Participants have to make one website; all assets will be provided and theme given on the spot.
- Time Limit: 90 minutes.
- Compulsory Languages: HTML & CSS (JavaScript is optional).
- Permitted Platform: Any offline code/text editor (Internet access is not allowed).
- Only 1 device is allowed per team.
SQL Masters
- A team must comprise of 2 participants.
- Only 1 team is allowed per institution.
- The event follows a continuous storyline consisting of three levels solved by writing SQL queries.
- The answer from 1st level serves as the clue for the 2nd level, and so on.
- Time Limit: 90 minutes. Separate databases provided for each level.
- The first 3 teams to solve all the levels will be declared winning teams.
Media Spotlight
- A team must comprise of 2 participants.
- Only 1 team is allowed per institution.
- One assumes the role of interviewer (dressed formally), the other the interviewee (dressed as a politician).
- Options: Nitin Gadkari, Harjot Singh Bains, C. Joseph Vijay, Rekha Gupta, Ganieve Kaur Majithia, Priyanka Gandhi.
- Topic provided on the spot with 5 minutes brainstorming time.
- Time Limit: 5 to 6 minutes. Medium: English/Hindi/Punjabi (must not change once chosen).
Mime
- A team must comprise 6 participants.
- Only 1 team is allowed per institution.
- The performance should be a silent act conveying a story or message.
- Topics: Child Labour, Dowry, Pollution, Poverty, Gender Discrimination.
- Time Limit: 4-6 minutes. No props allowed.
- Participants must bring their own music in a pen drive and mail tracks by 10th October 2026.
Working Model Quest
- A team must comprise of 3 participants.
- Only 1 team is allowed per institution.
- The team must come prepared with their working model.
- The topic must revolve around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
- Projects are required to include hardware or IoT, not solely software or coding.
Robo Arena
- A team must comprise 4 participants.
- Only 1 team is allowed per institution.
- Teams must design, assemble and program an autonomous Line Following Robot.
- Only ready-made IR sensor arrays are permitted; all other ready-made kits are prohibited. Wireless communication is not allowed.
- Each team receives 3 official attempts. A maximum of 3 physical touches is allowed per attempt; any additional touch disqualifies that attempt.
